This weekend I started in the 8-week Lonely Octopus program, and I’m super excited. The program is an 8-week, immersive and super hands-on artificial intelligence (AI) and data science program 🐙. The first 6 weeks include classes, events, and studying all about AI, large language models (LLMs) 🤖, data, and programming.

My custom study plan includes Python programming, prompt engineering, data cleaning & pre-processing with Pandas, data visualizations, AI product development and… a selection from four real company projects, which I’ll work on and submit during the last 2 weeks. Getting to actually create something that will have real-world use is the way I learn best, and I’m so excited to see what I can come up with.

Tina Huang has done an incredible job putting this cohort together – we’re a super diverse group that’s inclusive of folks from all over the world, different skills, specialties, careers, educational backgrounds, experiences…. just wow! 🌎I feel so grateful to have been selected from hundreds (!!) of applicants for this cohort.
