Last night I submitted my third project for the Lonely Octopus program – an app designed to find correlation (and opportunity) between a user’s resume and a job listing (or desired job description).🕵♀️ It also provides a summarized comparison analysis, a “fit”/match percentage based on the comparison, and ideas for upskilling (trainings, certifications) to increase the user’s match potential. 📈 There are TONS of other use cases for this kind of analysis, since comparing two items to identify gaps is an essential tool for endless situations in life, so I’m excited to have this as a template to further iterate upon!
Here’s a screenshot for now*:

I built a few new app features for this one, such as the user’s ability to upload files in addition to entering plain text, both of which can be analyzed by ChatGPT via an OpenAI API. I also included radio buttons to select options for submission and a download button to extract the AI response to a text file, so the user doesn’t have to copy/paste.
This is another Streamlit app, but I kept the UI/UX much cleaner to match the context of the app’s purpose (job-hunting/business), and kept my go-to celebrity persona prompt engineering out of it…unless you’d prefer to have RuPaul or Britney or some other fabulous pop star/diva to cheer you on while job-hunting?? Actually… 😏 * runs back to my code…*
* For the sake of time and balancing API key usage, I’m not sharing links to my new apps until I can build and publish my portfolio here, with my own API keys, which will happen after the LO program concludes. Stay tuned.
